High school athletics carnivals in Brisbane are typically held in late June. Mansfield State High School hosted its event on Friday 27 June 2025 at the Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre. This venue provides the track and field infrastructure required for school competitions.
School Seasons and Infrastructure Use
The GPS Track and Field season for Brisbane State High School runs from 22 August to 24 October 2025. The QGSSSA Athletics season runs from 8 August to 18 September 2025. Brisbane State High School is the only government school in the GPS and QGSSSA associations and offers athletics alongside rowing, rugby and swimming.
