The suburb’s proximity to the Eight Mile Plains busway station and technology employment precinct around Miles Platting Road has also helped attract professionals seeking easy access to both the CBD and Gold Coast. Local agency listings show that four-bedroom project homes on McDermott Parade and Rochedale Road are attracting offers above $1.3 million-often before the first home open, reflecting surging demand from both local and interstate buyers.

With major sporting and commercial projects for the Olympics already underway across Brisbane, the next phase of southside transport investment is set to increase connectivity even further. Local buyers eyeing Rochedale should keep watch for land releases and potential rezoning along Underwood Road. For investors, real estate analysts suggest monitoring vacancy rates closely, as the influx of new homes will eventually balance demand.
