Accessibility statement
We want The Daily Brisbane to be usable by everyone, regardless of ability, device or assistive technology.
Our commitment
The Daily Brisbane aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across our website, newsletters and audio content. Our build process includes semantic HTML landmarks, keyboard-accessible navigation, descriptive image alt text, sufficient colour contrast, and a "Skip to main content" link on every page.
Assistive technology
Our pages are tested with current versions of VoiceOver (macOS, iOS), TalkBack (Android), NVDA and JVM screen readers, alongside keyboard-only navigation in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge.
Known limitations
Some third-party embeds — social media posts, external video players and partner widgets — may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. Where possible we provide a text alternative or external link.
Report a barrier
If you encounter an accessibility issue or need content in an alternative format, please email accessibility@dailybrisbane.com.au. We aim to respond within five business days and to fix critical barriers within 30 days.
