Dog-Friendly Brisbane: Parks, Beaches and Off-Leash Areas

Brisbane is a dog-friendly city with a well-distributed network of off-leash parks and designated beach areas across its metropolitan area. Teneriffe Dog Park in the inner north is one of the most popular off-leash parks, with a large fenced area and proximity to the New Farm cafe strip. Orleigh Park in West End has a riverside off-leash section popular with the inner-south community. Fourteen Mile Beach at Nudgee on Moreton Bay is a designated off-leash beach area accessible from the northern suburbs. The Wynnum foreshore has an off-leash area near the rock pools. Several beaches on the Redcliffe Peninsula have designated dog-friendly zones at specified times. Inner Brisbane's cafe culture is dog-friendly, with many venues on Boundary Street West End, Racecourse Road Ascot and the New Farm riverfront strip welcoming leashed dogs. Brisbane City Council publishes current off-leash area designations on its website.
