Brisbane company reduces energy bills by 40% — here's how

Brought to you by Brisbane Energy Solutions

A new local outfit is rewiring how Brisbane households and small businesses pay for power. Here's the playbook they're rolling out across the river city.

For most Brisbane households, the power bill arrives, gets paid, and the conversation ends there. Brisbane Energy Solutions is trying to break that loop with an audit-first approach that combines smart-meter data, rooftop solar tuning, and time-of-use shifting.

The company's pilot, run across 120 inner-north homes through autumn, recorded an average bill reduction of 40 per cent. The biggest wins came from re-timing pool pumps, hot water systems and EV charging into the cheap mid-day window when solar is abundant.

Owner-operators say the model is repeatable for small business. A New Farm cafe in the same pilot dropped its winter quarter bill by $1,180 after a $0 up-front audit and a load shift on its cool-room compressor.

Brisbane Energy Solutions offers a free 30-minute consultation and a fixed-fee implementation plan. Bookings are open to households in the BCC and Logan council areas.
